Bushisms - Profound Quotes From George W. Bush

Ah....George W. Bush.  If one ever wonders how he ever became President, the following quotes, or "Bushisms" will reinforce the question, "How in the heck did someone the caliber of George Bush ever get elected to our great nation's highest political office?".  Bush might screw everything up, and his administration might do everyting possible to circumvent the constitution, but one must admit that he is very adept at making very stupid, convoluted remarks.  George Bush quotes are commonly referred to as Bushisms. This list was chosen from a collection of several hundred. It is interesting to note how Bushisms are probably the most important contribution of George W Bush to the world of literature.  Here are just a few of them.

There's an old saying in Tennessee - I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee - that says, fool me once, shame on - shame on you. Fool me - you can't get fooled again.
 
And so, in my State of the - my State of the Union - or state - my speech to the nation, whatever you want to call it, speech to the nation - I asked Americans to give 4,000 years - 4,000 hours over the next - the rest of your life - of service to America. That's what I asked - 4,000 hours.
 
The war on terror involves Saddam Hussein because of the nature of Saddam Hussein, the history of Saddam Hussein, and his willingness to terrorize himself.
 
I think the American people - I hope the American - I don't think, let me - I hope the American people trust me.
 
The law I sign today directs new funds and new focus to the task of collecting vital intelligence on terrorist threats and on weapons of mass production.

I'm hopeful. I know there is a lot of ambition in Washington, obviously. But I hope the ambitious realize that they are more likely to succeed with success as opposed to failure.
